Rafael Gilbert Final Project

I really love the aesthetic of these images, but I also think they are very powerful statements at the same time. After I created this design I became aware of the similarities of a child soldier. I created these images by repeating my original design packed tightly in a pattern. I think this strongly represents a mass of nameless child soldiers still fighting in parts of the world and I think this also prompts the idea that we never fully know the extent of these problems as there are always hidden numbers and the majority of these lives go unseen and just become part of the mass.

Again, using sketches for tattoo designs I created these images.    This is my favourite outcome.

Recently I took one of my previous tattoo designs that I have already done for someone and edited it in a similar style to create more collage-like pieces.
